THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:

  • research in the field of colloidal chemistry of nanomaterials and advanced spectroscopy with the aim of scientific qualification (doctorate)
  • synthesis of quasi-two-dimensional semiconductor nanomaterials: establishing of new synthetic routes and conditions, in particular colloidal perovskites
  • morphological (TEM, SEM, AFM), crystallographic (XRD) and chemical characterization
  • time-resolved fluorescence (TCSPC), transient absorption and UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy
  • construction of optical research setups
  • participation in seminars and workshops within collaborative research center
  • teaching in the form of exercises and lab courses in the field of experimental physics whereby the knowledge and skills to students is central
  • join field studies with international partners and institutions (e.g. excursions to synchrotons)
  • publication of research results in scientific journals

THIS MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT:

  • completed university degree (state exam, diploma, master's degree or comparable degree) in physics, chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology or related fields with at least good results
  • proven skills in at least some of these fields: colloidal synthesis, spectroscopy, electron microscopy
  • good knowledge of the English language is mandatory, written and spoken
  • high motivation for interdisciplinary work with colleagues from different scientific fields
  • ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manner
  • willingness to work seriously and with commitment on a project of one's own scientific qualification
  • minimum physical aptitude for synthesis and spectroscopy work
