At the Faculty of Computer Science, Institute of Communications Engineering, subject to budgetary provisions, we are filling the following positions for a limited period from 01.10.23 for a period of three years (with the option of extention):
2 Research Assistants (m/f/d)
EG 13 TV-L, full-time employment, 40 hours/week, limited, qualification position
Tasks and Responsibilities
- research in the area of communications engineering / signal processing with the aim of a scientific qualification (doctorate)
- scientific teaching in the amount of approx. 4 semester periods per week in the form of exercises, labs in the field of communications engineering, whereby the research-based transfer of specialist knowledge and skills to students is central and they are instructed to work scientifically on their own due to the scientific nature of teaching
- publication of research results
- preparation of project applications for third party funding
- supervision of theses
- prepare, examine and correct scientific academic performances
Requirements
- completed university degree (state exam, diploma, master's degree or comparable degree) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics or a comparable field with at least good results
- sound knowledge in the areas of communication engineering and digital signal processing
- good programming skills in Python, Matlab or C
- confident knowledge of the German and English language, both written and spoken
- willingness to work seriously and with commitment on a project of one's own scientific qualification
- ability to work in a team for interdisciplinary work groups
