THESE ARE YOUR TASKS:

  • research in the area of communications engineering with the goal of a scientific qualification (Ph.D.)
  • publishing research results, including in academic journals and at conferences
  • preparing grant proposals to secure external funding
  • academic, research-based teaching totaling approximately 4 SWS in the form of seminars and lab sessions in the field of communications engineering, with the goal of equipping students to conduct independent academic work
  • supervision of theses
  • preparation, supervision and correction of examinations

THIS MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT:

  • completed academic degree (Diplom, Master’s or equivalent) in electrical engineering, information technology, physics or a related field, with at least a “good” grade
  • in-depth knowledge of communications engineering
  • strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or C
  • fluency in spoken and written English; basic knowledge of German or a willingness to acquire it quickly
  • willingness to work seriously and with dedication on a project aimed at advancing your own academic qualifications
  • ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams
  • communication skills for presenting research results and conducting courses
